Opportunity

VSCO wanted guests at BiLD Expo to experience the magic of the VSCO editor in an IRL portrait studio experience.

Process

  • I researched VSCO's most popular looks and styles, familiarized myself with the editing UI and its capabilities, collaborated with the VSCO team to identify must have features
  • I designed a VSCO editor UI, blending capabilities of the full VSCO app and staying within limitations imposed by our app and script frameworks.
  • Built a custom OpenFrameworks app with the VSCO editor UI, script processing pipeline, including optimizations for real-time editing to ensure responsiveness

Results

  • Over 1,000 photos were edited, leading to tens of thousands of organic impressions on socials
